Child safety standards
Wispyr is an unofficial app that uses the Telegram API. Messages, media, groups and channels are stored by Telegram and moderated by Telegram under its Terms of Service.
1. Zero tolerance
Wispyr prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion and any content that sexualizes minors. The Telegram Terms of Service prohibit it as well, and accounts, groups and channels that share it are removed.
2. Report it in the app
- A message: long-press the message, tap Report and choose Child abuse.
- A group, channel or bot: open its profile, tap ⋮ → Report and choose Child abuse.
- A person: open the chat, tap ⋮ → Report, then Block user so they can’t contact you again.
Reports go to Telegram’s moderators, who remove the content and ban the accounts involved. You can also write to Telegram at stopCA@telegram.org.
3. Report it to the Operator
Wispyr (the “Operator”) takes reports and questions about child safety at admin@wispyr.app. We review every report promptly, pass it on to Telegram and, where the law requires it, to the authorities.
4. Compliance with the law
The Operator complies with the child safety laws that apply to it, reports apparent CSAM to the relevant national or regional authorities, such as the NCMEC CyberTipline, and cooperates with law enforcement.
